        "THE COSMIC SCENE"  Columbia - CL 1198 (1958).  Duke and the Spacemen.  Sleeve G with 3" split at top.  Record appears near M.  $28.

        "MAYNARD '64"  Roulette Birdland -  R 52107.  Writing on cover, else sleeve VG+.  Record appears EX.  $12.

GARDNER, ERROLL:

        "Singin' Kay Starr and Swingin' Erroll Gardner"  Crown CLP 5003 (1958)  According to program notes on cover, session was taped direct from a live jazz concert at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.  Record is in excellent condition with just light surface noise on some of the quieter songs.  Kay sings: Ain't Misbehavin', Good for Nothing Joe, Them there Eyes, What Is This Thing Called Love;  Erroll plays Lover, Just You, Just Me, Little Girl, Tenderly, Someone to Watch Over Me, Blue Lou.  Bright cover with small spit at top edge, scrape where price tag removed?  features sultry photo of Kay attributed to "Zolotow."  A scarce record.  $27

        "GETZ AU GO GO"  Verve - V 8600 (1964).  Featuring Astrud Gilberto.   Gatefold sleeve EX+.  Record EX+.  $12.

KENTON, STAN:

        "VIVA KENTON!"  Capitol - W1305 (1959).  Sleeve 3" split t/b at opening, writing on cover (2 letters on obverse), small water stain, else sleeve pretty nice.  Record appears about EX.   $13.

        "CITY OF GLASS and THIS MODERN WORLD".  Capitol W736 (1956).  Kenton conducts two great works by Robert Graettinger.   Small split center bottom, date on back panel, else cover is EXCELLENT, partially wrapped in original shrink-wrap.   Recover is EXCELLENT +.  $14.

    "The Salt Lake City Five"   Jubilee LP-1012.   Group from the early 1950s.  Record is near mint, in lightly worn cover.  $16.

SHORT, BOBBY:

    "BOBBY SHORT"   Atlantic 1230 (1956) Black label.   Original issue of this album includes "At the Moving Picture Ball, " Carioca," "Fun to be Fooled," + 10 more.   Cover slight warp at opening, but overall very nice.   Record appears near FINE, with much orig. shine and no apparent scratches or skips.   $15.

STARR, KAY:

TATUM, ART:

    "ART TATUM CLASSIC SOLOS"  Alamac (a collectors' label) QSR 2402.  Includes "Come Rain or Come Shine," "Honeysuckle Rose," "Kerry Dance," + 5 more.  Cover is clean and structurally sound, with early ring on back panel.  Record is MINT in original inner sleeve:  appears not to have been played.  $17.

    "ART TATUM SOLOS 1937"  Alamac (a collectors' label) QSR 2428.  Includes "Fine and Dandy," "Indiana," "I've Got the World on a String," "All God's Chillun Got Rhythm," + 8 more.  Cover is clean and structurally sound, with early ring on front panel.  Record is MINT in original inner sleeve:   appears not to have been played.  $17.

TAYLOR, BILLY:

        "MY FAIR LADY LOVES JAZZ"   Paramount - ABC-177 (1957).  Billy Taylor Trio with orch. conducted by Quincy Jones.  Small chip cover top rt corner, else very clean, tight, bright sleeve.  Record appears near M.  $23.

TAYLOR, SAM (The Man):

        "MUSIC FOR MELANCHOLY BABIES"  MGM E3482 (1957). Includes "The Nearness of You," "It's The Talk of the Town," + 10 more.  Great tenor sax.   Cover in fair condition with moisture stains, rubs, short splits.  Record has a couple of clicks at beginning of band 1, side 1, else EXCELLENT+.  $12  SOLD!!

THREE SOUNDS, THE:

        "LIVE AT THE LIVING ROOM"  Mercury SR 60921 (stereo) (1964).  Gene Harris, Bill Dowdy, Andy Simpkins recorded live at the Living Room in Cincinnati.  Includes "Mississippi Mud," "The Glory of Love," "Blues for Big Scotia," + 6 others.   Damp stain to back panel, else cover quite nice.   Record appears EX+ in original inner sleeve.  $14.

        "COLDWATER FLAT"  Blue Note BST-84285 (stereo) (1968).   Gene Harris, Andrew Simpkins, Donald Bailey, with the Oliver Nelson Orchestra.   Includes "Lonely Bottles," "Last Train to Clarksville," + 8 more.   Program notes by Herb Wong.  Gatefold cover bump to bottom corner, else structurally sound and very clean.  Record appears to have been played sparingly and has lots of shine, in original inner sleeve.  $11.  SOLD !!

        "VIBRATIONS"   Blue Note BST-84248 (stereo) (1968).  Gene Harris, Andrew Simpkins, Kalil Madi.  Includes "The Frown," "The Lamp Is Low," + 8 more.   Program notes by Leonard Feather.   Cover structurally ok by with considerable moisture stain and corner bumps/rubs.  Record appears EXCELLENT with considerable surface shine.  $9.

        "ROLL 'EM"  BluesWay BLS6060 (1973).  With Buddy Lucas, Patti Brown, Wally Richardson, Thornel Schwartz, Bob Bushnell, Herbie Lovelle, Panama Francis.   Includes "Well Oh Well," "Piney Brown Blues," + 8 more.    Cover near MINT in original shrink-wrap.  Record MINT in original inner sleeve.  From appearance, may not have been played.  $13.

        "NEWPORT IN NEW YORK '72 - THE JAM SESSION, VOLS 3 AND 4.    Cobblestone CST 9026-2 (1972).  2 record set in gatefold cover.   Recorded live at Radio City Music Hall in July 1972, the year following the destruction of the Newport Festival by thugs.  Artists include: Nat Adderley, Art Blakey, Gary Burton, Jaki Byard, George Duke, Harry Edison, Tyree Glenn, Dexter Gordon, Herbie Hancock, Chubby Jackson, Illinois Jacquet, Budd Johnson, Elvin Jones, Rahsaan Roland Kirk, Howard McGhee, Al McKibbon, James Moody, Gerry Mulligan, Joe Newman, Flip Phillips, Larry Ridley, Zoot Sims, Jimmy Smith, Sonny Stitt, Clark Terry, Chuck Wayne, Tony Williams, Kai Winding.  Selection include   "Perido" (18:53), "Misty," "Now's The Time" (13:50), "Blue 'N' Boogie" (28:11), "So What" (25:15).   Gatefold cover, which has photos of the artists and program notes by Ira Gitler, is MINT.   Both records are MINT as well, in original inner sleeves.  $24. 

        "NEWPORT IN NEW YORK '72 - THE JIMMY SMITH JAM, VOL 5.    Cobblestone CST 9027 (1972).     Recorded live at Yankee Stadium in July 1972, the year following the destruction of the Newport Festival by thugs.  Artists include: Jimmy smith, Zoot Sims, Kenny Burrell, clark Terry, B.B. King, Illinois Jacquet, Roy Haynes, Joe Newman.   Selections include "Blue 'N' Boogie" (15:26), "Ode to Billy Joe" (4:10), "Please Send Me Someone to Love" (5:38), plus 3 others.    Cover has small stain at rear panel, else near MINT in original shrink-wrap.   Record is near MINT in original inner sleeve.  $14.

WASHINGTON, GROVER, JR.:

        "ALL THE KING'S MEN"  Kudu KU-07 (1972).   Selections include "No Tears," "Love Song 1700," plus 5 others.  Some selections accompanied by large orchestra arranged and conducted by Bob James or by string trio.    Cover is EXCELLENT ++.  Record is near MINT in original inner sleeve.   $9.

WEST, HEDY:

        "HEDY WEST"  Vanguard VRS-9124 (1963).  Native folk and blues artist, who was born in North Georgia, accompanies herself on the 5 string banjo.  Sleeve in very nice condition.  Record appears near MINT in original inner sleeve.  $27.  SOLD!!

WILLIAMS, BIG JOE:

        "HAND ME DOWN MY OLD WALKING STICK"  World Pacific WPS-21897 (stereo) (1969).    Recorded by country blues guitarist Big Joe Williams in London in 1968.  Sleeve is near MINT in original plastic-wrap.  Record is near MINT in original inner sleeve.  $15.

WILSON, TEDDY:

        "STATEMENTS AND IMPROVISATIONS 1934-1942"   The Smithsonian Collection R005 (1977).    16 selections, mostly solos but some with the Teddy Wilson Orchestra, Red Norvo and his Swing Septet, Mildred Bailey and her Swing Band.   Extensive program notes by Dick Katz.  Gatefold cover is MINT in original shrink-wrap; record is MINT in original inner sleeve.  $15.
